Terms & Conditions

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Finsquad mobile application ("App") or visiting the Finsquad website at finsquad.app ("Website"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease all use of our Services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Finsquad ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Services after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Services. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18 (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction), you may only use the Services under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Account creation

Certain features of the App require you to create an account using Google Sign-In or email-based authentication. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

Account security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@finsquad.app if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or illegal activity, or if your account poses a security risk.

License grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on a device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

Restrictions

You agree not to: • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense the App or any part thereof • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App • Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the App • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or interact with the Services • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, servers, or networks • Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code into the Services • Use the Services to transmit spam, phishing attempts, or other unsolicited communications • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services

Your data

You retain all ownership rights to the financial data, transactions, budgets, savings goals, and other content you enter into the App ("User Content"). We do not claim any ownership interest in your User Content.

License to user content

By using the Services, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit your User Content solely as necessary to provide and improve the Services. This license is limited to what is technically required to operate the App and does not grant us the right to sell, share, or monetize your User Content.

Data accuracy

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data you enter into the App. Finsquad is a personal finance management tool and does not verify, validate, or guarantee the accuracy of any financial data entered by users.

Split feature

When you use the bill splitting feature, certain information (such as your display name and shared expense details) will be visible to other members of your split group. By participating in a split group, you consent to sharing this information with other group members.

The Services, including all content, features, functionality, software, code, design, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and the overall look and feel of the App and Website, are owned by Finsquad and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

The Finsquad name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Finsquad. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission. All other names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans on the Services are the trademarks of their respective owners.

The App integrates with third-party services including, but not limited to, Google Sign-In, Supabase, and Expo. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party services and encourage you to review their terms independently.

We may include links to third-party websites or services within the App or Website. These links are provided for convenience only and do not constitute an endorsement or recommendation. We have no control over the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party websites and assume no responsibility for them.

Finsquad may offer free and paid subscription tiers. If you purchase a paid subscription, you agree to pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated in our refund policy.

Subscription fees may be charged on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for all applicable fees. We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time, with reasonable notice provided to existing subscribers before any price increase takes effect.

If payment fails or your subscription expires, we may downgrade your account to the free tier. Your data will be preserved, but access to premium features will be restricted until payment is resolved.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: • The Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free • The results obtained from the use of the Services will be accurate or reliable • The quality of the Services will meet your expectations • Any errors in the Services will be corrected

Finsquad is a personal finance management tool and does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, tax guidance, or any other professional financial services. Any financial decisions you make based on information displayed in the App are solely your responsibility. You should consult a qualified financial advisor before making significant financial decisions.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL FINSQUAD, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, SUCCESSORS, OR ASSIGNS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH DAMAGES WERE FORESEEABLE AND WHETHER OR NOT FINSQUAD WAS ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO FINSQUAD IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100.00).

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN SUCH CASES, OUR LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Finsquad and its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of a third party; or (d) your User Content.

Informal resolution

Before initiating any formal dispute resolution proceeding, you agree to first contact us at support@finsquad.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.

Binding arbitration

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, you and Finsquad agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may seek equitable relief in court for infringement or misuse of intellectual property rights.

Class action waiver

YOU AND FINSQUAD AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. If this waiver is found to be unenforceable, then the entirety of this arbitration provision shall be null and void.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Finsquad operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction within that jurisdiction.

You may terminate your use of the Services at any time by deleting your account through the App settings and uninstalling the App. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to: Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Dispute Resolution, and Governing Law.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, shall be severed from these Terms. The invalidity of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other legal notices or policies published by us on the Services, constitute the entire agreement between you and Finsquad regarding your use of the Services and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, proposals, or representations, written or oral, concerning the subject matter herein.
